Purpose: The dominant thinking and common understanding of "health" is focused on the physical dimension and less attention has been paid to the interaction of spirituality and physical health, while "health" is manifested in all material and spiritual aspects.
Materials and methods: The present research aims to examine the role of religious spirituality on physical health by examining verses and traditions in a descriptive-analytical way. The method of collecting information in this research was based on library expression and based on the Holy Quran and interpretive and narrative sources.
Findings: In the examination of the teachings of Islam, it was found that there are many spiritual solutions that affect physical health. Piousness and prayer are among the most important solutions for physical health, and the role of these solutions on physical health was stated.
Conclusion: Providing many spiritual solutions in the teachings of Islam is a holistic approach that can provide all aspects of health, including physical health.
