Introduction: Adolescence is a period of evolution in which different types of identity, including religious identity, are formed. The purpose of this study was to investigate the positive effect of Quranic teachings on adolescent hope and happiness. The study was quasi-experimental with pre-test and post-test design with control group. The Schneider (1991) and Oxford Happiness Questionnaires (1989) questionnaires were selected by purposive sampling from the statistical population and were randomly divided into two groups of 15 experiment and control groups. Experimental group received 8 one hour sessions of positive education based on Quranic teachings based on the divine pattern of positive education based on Quranic teachings and control group received no training. Then both groups completed the questionnaires again. Statistical analysis was performed using covariance analysis test. The results showed that positive education based on the teachings of the Quran was effective on hope and happiness (p <0.05).
Conclusion: It can be concluded that interventions such as incorporation of teachings based on religious teachings and psychology have a dual effect on promoting the mental health components of adolescents such as empathy and happiness.
