Purpose: According to the verses of the Holy Qur'an and the words of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in Nahj al-Balagha, human nature is a single reality but it has levels. Body, soul and soul are all manifestations of this one truth. At its lowest level, the soul is only one level higher than the body and is responsible for physical affairs, but at its highest level, it is superior even to the highest angels. The important goal of this research is to know the self as the truth of man and its levels from the perspective of the Holy Quran and Nahj al-Balagha as one of the important Islamic sources and their application.
Materials and methods: This research was done using the library method. Knowing the truth and the dimensions of human existence is equivalent to the knowledge of the self, because according to the teachings of the Qur'an and Nahj al-Balaghah, the whole truth of man is the self, and this knowledge, according to the honorable hadith, "I have lost my self, lost my Lord's knowledge", and on the other hand, This knowledge can show the path of inner evolution and be a motivation for humans to follow the path of spiritual evolution because the path of religion and religious life is to go through the steps and levels of the soul from the lower to the higher.
Findings: The result is that man is a multi-layered reality whose material manifestation is the body and abstract manifestations of the soul, and knowledge of the soul is the knowledge of the true self of man.
Conclusion: By comparing the truth and existential dimensions of man from the perspective of the Holy Quran and Hajj al-Balaghah, it was found that there is harmony between them.
