pose: The purpose of this study was to critique the validity of contemporary scientific interpretation based on the position of reason and science in the thought of Ayatollah Javadi Amoli.
Materials and Methods: The application of the experimental method in explaining the Quranic themes in the contemporary period after the interpretive developments focused on the efforts of Seyyed Jamaluddin Asadabadi, has been done on the basis of specific and general contexts. This method has pros and cons, and both groups have their reasons.
Findings: Ayatollah Javadi Amoli is one of the commentators who does not agree with the method of conventional scientific interpretation, as used by people like Tantawi and Eskandarani. It seems that the root of their difference in the method of conventional scientific interpretation is related to several factors: first, his definition of scientific interpretation, and secondly, the principles and rules for interpreting the Qur'an, especially in the case of verses dealing with nature and existence. It is cognitive, it is relevant. This article examines this issue in a descriptive-analytical manner.
Conclusion: Some authors have considered the scientific miracle of the Qur'an to be based on scientific interpretation, while such a view is not correct and valid, the scientific miracle is clearly stated in only a handful of suras that do not even need a commentator, while Scientific interpretation is an approach that tries to reconcile new sciences with prejudice against the Qur'an. Therefore, Javadi Amoli's emphasis on the scientific miracle of the Qur'an does not mean scientific interpretation and there are many essential differences with it.
