Purpose: Anxiety and depression are common complaints of cancer patients. This study aimed to determine the effect of religion and spirituality on anxiety and depression in cancer patients.
Materials and Methods: The research method was review. Related articles, which were conducted in Iran from 2006-2020, were searched in Magiran, Iran Medex, SID, and Irandoc databases with the keywords cancer, depression, anxiety, prayer, religion, spirituality.
Findings: First, 146 articles were obtained. 8 articles entered the final review.
Conclusion: results showed a significant relationship between religion and spirituality with depression and anxiety and the effectiveness of religion and spirituality on them.
